So in the fall, I will be doing field study home in Baltimore instead of returning another semester to Hampshire College. I plan to go back into the spaces I lived as a kid and do some therapeutic writing and photography in these spaces. These places include around Woodland, Park Heights, Longwood, Greenmount, and Highlandtown. I have experienced a lot of traumatic events in these places and I would like to reclaim a memory that isn't negative for my mind. I am excited and very scared for this field study because I'm not really sure how safe it will be to go back into these spaces. I am concerned for my safety but I guess that' the risk I am going to have to take in order to get better. Since both of my advisers left Hampshire, I will have to figure out who my new member and chair will be, which I already have been putting into motion. I have a lot of planning that I need to do but so far, I'm getting the ropes together for knowing the addresses and prompts I would like to use for my writing exercises. Also, here's a list of books that I want to read for my field study. Please comment other recommendations that would seem to fit this field study.
