Button Poetry's Someday I'll Love (insert full name) Prompt:
Someday, I’ll Love Rejjia Loreal Camphor, especially on the days when I eat too much, I’ll know it's just my heart’s way of growing, gaining calories of forgiveness, pumping necessary kindness through my veins, to my body for me to hold and understand that I am alive. And on the days when I hide to break down and cry, that’s just my mind telling the tears to give my eyes a shine cause Someday, I’ll love Rejjia Loreal Camphor so much that when I walk with my head down, it's only because I’ll remember that not everyone can handle my light, the way it burns bright, illuminates the night, cause when you look into my eyes, you see that I am the universe, blackholes of pain that consume me, But also bring me to gravity, forces building layers of love like rocks as hard as life, Planets orbiting around each others, Like arms around each other. Someday, I’ll wish upon a star and wake up where Rejjia Loreal Camphor, And I are best friends, not because the world makes me my enemy, but cause black girls are my only companion. Someday, I will love myself, despite when I’m told to hate my fire, told that I am nothing, that white is right. Someday, I will roll my js like ocean waves, #saymy name Rejjia like a deity, beginning that re like water clashing, colliding together again and again in me, ending with infinity.
